Limestone is a sedimentary rock formed when weathering deposits particles. This limestone tile is composed mainly of calcium carbonate. This makes it a soft rock compared to others in this article, making it easily workable for the construction of various buildings.
This stone has a compressive strength of about 55 MPa. It is often mixed with small amounts of alumina and silica along with magnesia. If the magnesia is 10% or more, it becomes magnesian. If the magnesia is greater than 45%, the limestone is called dolomite.
